Originally one of the first city technology colleges established in the 1990’s Djanogly has become a beacon for the effective use of ICT, especially for a school serving a challenging area of Nottingham with a third of the intake receiving free school meals and many of the children not having English as a first language.

Yesterday we met with Microsoft who showed us some really exciting new (and older) tools and resources they have developed. Some have an obvious educational application while others are just very cool pieces of software!

The new National Strategies site has gone over all Web 2.0 – for a start there’s a BETA button on there (my circling in red) plus a groups and discussions feature. I got the nod from Steve Beard via Twitter (another good reason [...]
