How it might be used
The user will take a unique approach to working and thinking around music. This project is about innovation through instruments, sound manipulation and performing live entertainment. Each youngster undertaking the sessions will develop a new understanding and concept, realising that music can be made from anything, anywhere. Each will gain skills in performing using recorded sounds and inventive instruments, and be given the added opportunity to become part of a growing live act carried out by the company in a professional manner which will act as a key way of promoting the project, showcasing and generating a revenue.
Their ideas will be extremely useful in the early stages of the project, as these ideas will help shape ideas for new instruments and ways of recording sound. This, we hope, will be a key part of the project purpose.
Ultimately, this project will build on skills such as confidence, creative ability, music and performance skills and teamwork skills.
Another important aspect, is allowing youngsters to realise that music can be created without needing the skills to play. Not everyone will be strong in the performance side, but they may find the background work in manipulation and recording more rewarding.
